Overview of the position
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Continuous Improvement Manager to join our OLYMEL team.
Main responsibilities:
• Leads and facilitates implementation and maintenance activities related to the continuous improvement program and supports dedicated plant teams.
• Participates in the identification of improvement opportunities in order to integrate best practices into daily operations,
• Trains and coaches teams (DMAIC, DMS management processes, etc.),
• Prepares and leads various meetings (reviews, brainstorming, etc.),
• Coordinates various work groups related to continuous improvement (Kaizen, G.I...),
• Acts as a change agent promoting continuous improvement,
• Leads and/or supports all phases of project management,
• Monitors and stimulates the implementation of identified projects at operational level,
• Identifies and implements indicators and dashboards (KPI),
• Participates in internal and inter-institutional audits of the continuous improvement program (Olympac).
• 3 to 5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment or similar experience
• College or university degree in a relevant discipline
• Strong interest in continuous improvement and experience in problem solving.
• Coaching and training skills for individuals and/or teams
• Experience in managing multidisciplinary projects.
• Results-oriented (effective change agent)
• Green Belt certification (an asset) and/or knowledge of Lean Six Sigma
• Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite (especially Excel) and Power BI
• Must have a driver's license for travel to various sites.
• Bilingualism English-French (an asset).
