POSITION TITLE: Coordinator, Continuous Improvement

SHIFT: Day/Night

JOB STATUS: Full-time

Overview of the position

 

Reporting to the Director, Continuous Improvement (poultry sector), the successful candidate will fulfill the following responsibilities:

  • Review processes and methods in the different departments (production, maintenance, quality control, etc.) with the aim of identifying opportunities for improvement;
  • Manage or facilitate continuous improvement projects (Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen, IG)
  • Assist in prioritizing actions to be taken and integrate best practices into daily operations
  • Create and monitor departmental performance indicators;
  • Analyze the communications structure: internal (between services/departments/shifts) and external;
  • Analyze management tools and follow-up done by supervisors;
  • Develop and take part in implementing tools for improving supervisors’ management procedures;
  • Assist in developing action plans and supporting supervisors with the changes to be implemented;
  • Provide training and coaching to managers regarding the management system, based on needs and established priorities;
  • Participate in developing and conducting internal audits to evaluate compliance with procedures and methods;
  • Support the management team in ensuring the existing management system is maintained;
  • As needed, participate in continuous improvement activities at other facilities in the poultry sector.

 


Requirements 

  • University degree in a relevant area;
  • Three to five years’ experience in a similar or related position;
  • Ability to analyze and summarize information; demonstrated good judgment;
  • Skilled communicator and attentive listener;
  • Participatory leadership to help influence and have an impact;
  • Ongoing initiative in carrying out tasks and responsibilities;
  • Effective agent of change, focused on results;
  • Demonstrated courtesy and tact in relations with staff and suppliers;
  • Aptitude for teamwork;
  • Flexibility with scheduling;
  • Green Belt certification an asset;
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite;
  • Bilingualism (French and English) an asset.
